Collection: Vodou Books
Vodou, aka Voudou, Voudon, or Voodoo, is a syncretic religion, a blend of traditional religions from Africa and Roman Catholicism, created by people forcibly migrated from their homes on the African continent as part of the slave trade. A nature religion, it is alive today, with no limits as to who can practice it. The term is sometimes used as a blanket name for all religions based on African, Caribbean, and Native American ancestral traditions when combined with Catholicism, including Santeria, Cadomble, Espiritismo, Palo Mayombe, Root Work, and Brujeria.
