Aleister Crowley was a seminal Western magician, as well as prolific mountaineer.  He created the path known as Thelema, penning the core book of that tradition, The Book of the Law.  He identified as the Beast, and the wickedest man in the world.  Considered that by many magicians, he is nonetheless a foundational writer on Ritual Magick in the 20th century.
