It's that time of year again, when trees and flowers attack. Millions of people suffer from seasonal allergies, made miserable by sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and itchy skin. We spend thousands of dollars on shots, over the counter and prescription antihistamines and other drugs, and take precautions to avoid our allergens. Stones can be another tool in your allergy arsenal.

Carnelian helps deal with nasal allergies, including sneezing, stuffiness, and itchy palate. Wear or carry it inside your energy field, in a pocket or other receptacle.

Blue Lace Agate helps eye allergies, including watery eyes and that horrific itching. This is another one to wear or carry in a pocket.

Aventurine is useful for skin allergies and irritations, whether from bug bites, including mosquitos, sunburn, or topical dermatitis, such as poison ivy or oak. Hold the stone to the affected area, and wear or carry it.

Bloodstone and hematite are healing in matters of the blood, which is our nutrient and waste transport medium. Both are also good for bruises. Hold them against the bruise, alternating between them, for at least five minutes.

Jade is good for everything, love, money, healing and protection.

You can combine these stones in a medicine bag, carry them singly or in combination in your pockets or your bra, or go to your local sporting goods store and buy a runner's belt and stuff them in the pockets of that. The important thing is to have them in your energy field, which generally extends three to six inches beyond your physical body. Unlike with pharmaceuticals, rarely do people have unwanted side effects from stones. If you do, just stop carrying them.

You may need to continue your treatment with over the counter or prescription meds, but it can't hurt to see if Mother Nature can help out a little with this horror her plants are visiting upon you!
